Power banks are created to make charging on the go as easy as possible. However, forgetting to pack your charging cables or losing them is a common problem. With the Jackery Bolt 6000, we saw that this problem no longer has occur as it has integrated charging cables. Today, we’ll be taking a look at another power bank with integrated cable functionality: the EasyAcc 6000mAh Ultra-Slim.

Design & Portability

The Jackery Bolt was about as the size of an old Nokia and about as portable as it gets for a power bank with such versatility. The EasyAcc 6000 Ultra-Slim is designed a bit differently. It’s taller and wider, but incredibly slim. It measures 5.28 x 2.6 inches and with 0.50 inches in thickness this is the thinnest power bank we’ve seen to date. That’s quite the feat, especially for a power bank with an integrated charging cable. The extreme slimness makes it easily portable and slides in your pocket like it’s nothing. Another advantage of the slim design is that you can stack it under your phone while it’s charging it and hold both in your hand at the same time.

The casing of the power bank is made of a nice sturdy plastic with matte finish which reminds a lot of the shells of Amazonbasics power banks. Overall, the EasyAcc Ultra Slim does just fine in the design department and there’s nothing to complain about.

Features

Obviously, the most interesting part of this power bank is the integrated cable feature. Which we’ve only seen once before on a power bank; the Jackery Bolt. However, the Jackery Bolt has both a Lightning cable and a micro-USB cable, which might be overkill for those who exclusively have a micro-USB smartphone and no Lightning compatible devices, or vice versa. The EasyAcc Ultra Slim has just one integrated cable and can be bought in two different versions: a Micro-USB version or Lightning Version. It’s a great alternative to the Jackery Bolt and makes it that you don’t have an extra cable you won’t be using anyway. Also -just like the Bolt – this little fellow supports pass-through charging as well.

Another minor flaw of the Jackery Bolt was that the cable head was quite thick, and frankly unusable if you have a thick phone case surrounding the input area of your phone. The EasyAcc Ultra Slim’s cable head is much more subtle and fits in your phone much easier.

In addition to the integrated cable charging feature the EasyAcc Ultra-Slim also has an open USB output which allows for another device to be charged. This is especially handy for non micro-USB devices, like USB-C or mini-USB devices. Although you can absolutely charge micro-USB devices in it as well.

Most power banks we see have seen have four LED battery indicators. The EasyAcc 6000 has five, and shows batterycharge in 20% increments instead of the usual 25%. It also has a great flashlight which is surprisingly bright for a device of this size.

Power

6000mAh, while not particularly high, is pretty impressive for a power bank as slim as this one. It has enough juice to charge an average phone twice. Charge speed is not bad either; the Micro-USB version has 2.4A output and charges a Samsung Galaxy S5 within 2 hours. The Lightning version is slightly slower than the Jackery Bolt in terms of charging and only has 2A output instead of two, but it still manages to charge an iPhone 6S within 2 hours as well.

Conclusion

Overall the EasyAcc 6000mAh Ultra-Slim is a fantastic little device and a great alternative to the Jackery Bolt 6000. Even though the Jackery Bolt 6000 has quicker charging speeds and three simultaneous charge options, some won’t be needing the Lightning cable anyway and EasyAcc brings a great solution with this 6000mAh Ultra-Slim Portable Charger.
